ACTION FILM: SALT, I LIKED D&K IT WAS FUNNY A LITTLE UNCONVENTIONAL
COMEDY:DINNER..WAS WEIRD,IMMA GO WITH JACKASS 3
ANIMATED: HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON
YOU ACTUALLY SAW FASTER...THE NAME ALONE SHOULD HAVE TOLD YOU IT WAS BUT.
Almost a toss up between expendables and day and knight. How to kill ur dragon is my favorite animated film thus decade. Although I didn't see toy story yet so I will with hold judgement. Salt was ok entertaing but the ending was some bull s***. How he gone just let her go? Still gotta see true grit. Inception, very good, I need to buy it and watch it about 3 more times.
Oh yeah, no problems with unstoppable.
How to Train Your Dragon was good but after Tiant'e told me it was the best movie this decade I expected alot more. B level animated film in the same category as UP but no Toy Story or Incredibles which with Shrek are my faves for the decade. Faster was seen so I could sneak in and see Tangled. But yeah I saw it. Haven't seen jackass 3 that's almost like cheating the stuff they do to each other.
Personally, as far as animation goes im not gonna critique how good the product looks unless it resembles the original bugs bunny. (Exageration) I just really enjoyed how to train your dragon. The story line the action ect. But remember, I haven't seen toy story yet. Just my. 02 cents.
No T, wasn't saying the animation was weak. Just the film wasn't as strong as TS3 in my opinion. It looked good. The dragon looked kind of hinky but super cool. Alot of people feel the same way you do that it was an instant classic. ET for this generation is what the promo said at one point. So you are perfectly cool with you 2cents. TS3 is one of the best flicks period IMO.Story, visuals, great characters and heart. Pick up TS3 from Redbox.
Look, TS3 is great, loved it. Yes a work of art. Second to none. You will find many people who thought it wasn't. They are sicinnahead. How To Train Your Dragon wasn't (best) of the decade but if it was your favorite of the decade I can't argue that. It was my favorite of the summer over TS3. It was not a B LEVEL animated feature by any means. It was Dreamworks' best film to date. Better than all the Shreks for me after the first one. The character designs, the story and the animation were on point. It had action ,mythology, the dragon were not talking. Coming from Dreamworks' I was surprised. To take nothing away from TS3, just tired of the samo samo (get it) even if it was one of the best animated films of all time. I really enjoyed HTTYD more.
When I say B level I am referring to the level of excellence of the film. I said I thought it was good not great and not on the level of Incredibles, Shrek 1, TS1 or 2, Nemo, Wall E, and if you want to take it even further it is not in the class of Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King. Those are IMO A-list/A level animated films. HTTYD for me was in that UP, Rattatouille, Kung Fu Panda category. But as I stated before that's just me. I don't remember very many quotables from it or many rewindable moments. Like remember how Dre used to have the Baboon fight from Lion King on loop at the youth center. This is good glad ya'll bigging it up now I got something to check out when I watch it again. That Clown scene in TS3 was one of the most moving things in film yeah it's Jesse story retold but it is what you look forward to. Then the ending, belissimo.
